Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These terms apply when you create a WPShake account, use the WPShake dashboard, or install the Shake Connect plugin on a WordPress site. By using the service you agree to them. WPShake is operated by RebelCode.

The service

WPShake monitors and maintains WordPress sites you connect to your account: checking uptime, backups, updates, and security signals, and, within the policy you set, applying safe updates and routine maintenance. Shake Connect is the plugin that runs on each connected site and exposes the data the dashboard needs.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials and connection tokens secure.
  • You're responsible for having the right to connect any site you add to your fleet โ€” your own, or one you're authorized to manage on a client's behalf.
  • You can close your account at any time; we'll stop polling your sites and delete your connection tokens.

What we do and don't do on your sites

Shake Connect only takes the actions your policy explicitly allows: safe plugin/theme/core updates with pre-flight snapshots, and routine maintenance like cache flushes, due-cron runs, and transient cleanup. Anything outside your policy is held for your review rather than applied automatically. We're not liable for issues caused by third-party plugins, themes, or hosting environments outside our control, but every automated change is logged so it can be reviewed and reversed.

Acceptable use

Don't use WPShake to connect sites you don't have authorization to manage, to circumvent another service's terms, or to attempt unauthorized access to systems beyond the sites in your own fleet.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the dashboard; changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless stated otherwise.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We'll do our best to give notice ahead of planned maintenance that could affect monitoring or update windows.

Limitation of liability

WPShake is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including site downtime or data loss not directly caused by our own actions.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active account holders by email.
